Why attend a Just Write! workshop or course?

Whether creative writing is new to you, or you are already well versed in the craft, let me inspire you...

I am passionate about encouraging others to write in an inclusive, safe and nurturing environment.

By attending my workshops and courses, you will explore a wide variety of creative writing techniques. You will also join a supportive community of writers.

Is there a qualification?

No - this is writing for fun!

My workshops and courses aim for exactly that. I encourage people to just write, without worrying about getting it perfect.

My mantra is, 'There is no wrong, or right - just write!'

What's involved?

Groups are limited to a maximum of 10 participants, to give everyone a chance to share their writing and to receive constructive feedback.

In my workshops and courses, you will explore vital elements of the creative writing craft, such as:

  • The many genres of writing and finding your own strengths
  • Character development, plot and setting
  • Techniques to make your writing stand out
  • Methods for overcoming 'writer's block'

I use a wide range of resources to help get your creative juices flowing with a series of writing exercises. There is no homework (unless you request some), no pressure and no judgement.

What's most important to me is that you enjoy exploring your creative writing skills.

What do you need?

My workshops are suitable for adults of all abilities. Don't worry if you've never written before - come along and be inspired. All you need is a pen, some paper and a willingness to have a go!
